Baclofen is a medication developed in 1962 as a drug for treating epilepsy, but its effectiveness as a treatment of epilepsy was very insignificant. However, during clinical trials, it was noted that Baclofen significantly decreased muscle spasticity in some patients. And after years of research and multiple clinical trials, Baclofen was approved by FDA in 1977 as an effective treatment of muscle spasticity. Baclofen is the 122nd most prescribed drug in the USA that is widely used in clinical medicine, bodybuilding, and other sports.
