About Propecia

Apoxar Propecia is a trade name for Finasteride: an FDA-approved hair loss prevention medication. This medication prevents male pattern baldness, stops hair thinning, and reduces the chances of you getting practically bald early.

Finasteride is a must for bodybuilders who run Testosterone in all its esters (Propionate, Enanthate, Cypionate, etc) and Testosterone blends (Sustanon, Test-400, and similar). 

How Does Finasteride Work

Finasteride inhibits the enzyme called 5-alpha reductase, which naturally converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (aka DHT) in your body. 

DHT has negative androgenic effects on your hair follicles, which would — potentially — lead to hair loss. So, less 5-alpha reductase activity — less DHT — more hair. 

NOTE: FInasteride, aka Propecia, does NOT work with DHT-based steroids (Winstrol (aka Stanozolol), Proviron, Masteron). They come “ready” from injections, so they’re not converted by the 5-alpha reductase, and Finasteride can not affect that conversion rate at all. It attacks “the middleman” enzyme, not the “end product” (DHT).

There’s just one primary effect you will see in the mirror: your hair will still be there. On a more detailed list, among other benefits, you can expect:

Keep in mind that it’s only useful for bodybuilders when your cycle includes compounds that convert to DHT (like Testosterone), and most of the effects are going to occur in this case only. 

How to Take Finasteride

Standard Finasteride dose is 1 mg daily if your primary goal is hair loss prevention. You can raise it up to 5 mg daily to target prostate issues. 

Cycle duration is not limited, with prolonged administration you just need to keep the dose at the lowest point (1mg ED). If you’re on TRT, prolonged use might help with preserving your hair. 

Keep in mind that Finasteride is a long-term solution, not a quick fix. It’s typically paired with other supportive measures (for example, Minoxidil or Biotin for extra scalp & hair health support) for best results.
