UDCA (Ursodeoxycholic Acid)
Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) General Info
Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) is a bile acid naturally occurring in human bodies. It was discovered and firstly identified in bear bile; that is why it was named Urso-deoxycholic acid (Ursus in Latin means bear). Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) was approved in 1987, and it is widely used worldwide as an effective treatment for multiple liver and bile ducts diseases.
Main Liver Functions
Liver is the largest and the heaviest (approx 3.40 lb) internal organ in the human body responsible for more than 500 different functions. The primary liver functions are:
- Protein, carbs, amino acids, and lipid metabolism
- Breakdown of hormones
- Storage of multiple substances :
- Vitamin A-one to two years supply
- Vitamin D-one to four months supply
- Vitamin B12- three to five years supply etc
- Blood purification
- Albumin production
- Production of Catalase (enzyme) that breaks down toxic oxidizing agents
Bile Acids General Info
The Liver produces primary bile acids that are stored in the gall bladder. Once secreted into the intestine, the intestinal bacteria (good bacteria) metabolizes primary bile acids into secondary bile acids. Primary and secondary bile acids' main functions are fat digestion and regulation of cholesterol levels.
Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) Therapeutical Usage
Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) is an FDA-approved drug for the effective treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC). Multiple clinical trials showed that UDCA has anti-inflammatory and protective properties in gastrointestinal tract cells and accelerates wounds healing in the colon.
Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) Effectiveness
Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) is an effective medication used for several health conditions.
Users' ratings on UDCA effectiveness for specific medical conditions.

Primary Biliary Cholangitis 9.1 out of 10
Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease 8 out of 10
Gallbladder Disease 6 out of 10
Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) in Bodybuilding and Other Sports
The prolonged use or high dosages of some AAS compounds could cause liver damage and develop life-threatening dysfunctions. Bodybuilders and athletes who use performance-enhancing drugs widely use Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) as on-cycle liver support. We strongly advise using Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) as on-cycle liver support with such compounds as Dbol, oral or injectable Winstrol, and Anadrol.
Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) Administration
To avoid or decrease potential gastrointestinal discomfort, please take Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) with food only.
Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) dosages are based on weight. The recommended dosage is 250mg three times a day.
Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) Possible Side Effects
Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) is a relatively safe compound if taken in recommended dosage ranges of 250-750mg/day.
Less than 10% of users reported side effects such as diarrhea, constipation, upset stomach, vomiting, and sore throat.
